If we're being honest, despite how well Naruto turned out in the end (Minus the massive filler), it's miracle that Naruto even got popular as a show seeing as how the very first episode already reused the same animation within 10 minutes.

exceeded? man it can't even match it. Though i'm pretty much making a blind guess since i stopped it quite early, i simply couldn't take it. There is only so much crap i'm willing to go trough to see if the show is good or not. And I watched both Seasons of Shin Shinka no mi, and a few other cringy shows names of which i don't even remember.
the Only reason i remember the name Boruto is cause it similar to Naruto(the good series) and cause it's an insult to the series that gave birth to it.

Starting Boruto with a flash forward was so stupid and shortsighted. They basically forced themselves into having to build into the traitor narrative. Then what we get is ultimately, "shit goes wrong because woman cant control her powers"

Naruto died mid-chuniin arc when you had Junki Takegami take it over... Junki has the unique power to turn anything amazing into Junk. His parents certainly gave him the right name!
Junki is the scriptwriter for everything that isn't in the books. AkA fillers, and he absolutely ADORES adding his own work to others. for he is the God of Junk, Junki Takegami, and he can turn anything into Junk.

True, but my problem with Boruto is that it finds its origin in money and not artistical creativity. Shippuden was forced into a meh ending to prepare for Boruto. That's my main complain about the show. I also tried the first episodes of Boruto. It was not bad, but not better than other animé I watched at the same time. So I dropped it.

to be fair when boruto is on point, its really on point ( rare as that is) and due to not wanting to catch up to the manga ( one of the core tenants of anime: we the consumer theoretically need to swim in a sea of bad filler) the manga is pretty good ( sure not the best thing ever) but certainly solid.

Nah, it gets hate because it spits on everything that Naruto was built upon. It forces a conflict just because the studio and Shonen Jump wanted to keep making money. It's milking an already dead cow, and it's unfortunate that Kishimoto decided to take that route.

I beg to differ, The Assasin turned out to be a pretty decent anime. It's nothing great, but I wouldn't call it a dissapointment either.

So Shinka no Mi, as a Light Novel, is just goofy. The 2nd season anime adaptation was just terrible, but the novel is not bad, but it's definitely nothing to right home about. I Got a Cheat Skill is a lot better. It's quite a bit more serious in both the drama and action departments and it's definitely not goofy. Cringe wise it's also a lot tamer, but if you're the kind of person to get cringed out by obvious power fantasy tropes this will get you, but the writing is way better. And, of course, it's also a harem, but I guess the way the harem plays out is a bit more serious(I guess is the best word). You have obvious conflicts of affection between the harem girls. It's not just "Oh we all like the same guy, cool lets be best friends."

I read a very good theory behind to 2 different writing styles for the 2: I Got a Cheat Skill is the author's serious work where he lets his creative juices flow and Shinka no Mi is the work where the author just blows off steam and writes whatever he wants as a stress relief.
